Book made during the Penumbra Foundation Long Term Program: The Photobook for a Federico Clavarino assigment. The images in the sequence -- originally made with a 4x5 field camera -- belong to a bigger body of work from the artist titled Flowers of Friendship, and are the result of a “frame within the frame” excercise. The original photographs were printed on bamboo paper and placed on a light box, later covered with a Japanese Kozo paper to then be photographed again. The wooden structure represents the artist house as a creative and safe space for his practice.
